Cloud Architect / Site Reliability Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a Cloud Architect / Site Reliability Engineer for a client. We are looking for an individual with relevant experience in designing and operating IT systems in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform, strong scripting and automation skills, and the ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex systems.
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and continuously improve cloud infrastructure solutions for the organization.
- Evaluating and implementing new cloud services and technologies to stay abreast of trends and innovations.
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of CI/CD automation frameworks and processes to simplify the deployment, configuration and maintenance of infrastructure and cloud services.
- Providing support and troubleshooting in production environments and during outages.
- Support capacity planning and performance optimization to ensure systems resiliency at scale.
- Contributing to the development of best practices, standards, and documentation for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) processes and procedures.
- Sharing knowledge and disseminating information about the use of public cloud and its benefits among peers.
Working in an agile and self-organized team and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to understand requirements and create architectural designs.

Prerequisites and personality skills
Expected experiences include:
- Relevant education and training in the design and operation of IT systems to include.
- Demonstrated experience in roles such as IT Architect, Site Reliability Engineer or similar in cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, including languages such as Python, bash, HCL (Terraform) and YAML.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack or Splunk.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in complex systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work in English and/or German is an asset.
